IVECO will participate in the world-renowned off-road car racing competition ‘Dakar Rally Race 2023’ to be held in Saudi Arabia from December 31 this month to January 15, 2023. In the 2022 season, IVECO, which finished well with all three drivers in the top 10, took on a new season with a new team composition and powerful rally truck, with a policy to prove Iveco's excellent performance and durability once again. to be.

The new season will be joined by ‘Boss Machinery Team de Rooy IVECO’ and ‘Eurol Team de Rooy IVECO’. Iveco participates as an official sponsor of the two teams and provides a total of four rally trucks, engines, and replacement parts.



In particular, the racing truck of the 2023 season was produced based on Iveco's large truck 'Powerstar'. Equipped with a 13-liter Iveco Cursor engine specially manufactured by ‘FPT (Fiat Powertrain Technologies)’, a powertrain brand under the Iveco Group, it demonstrates powerful performance with a maximum output of 1,000 horsepower. Along with this, FPT's latest technology was applied to the suspension and tire pressure optimization system.

Meanwhile, the 2023 Dakar Rally will be held in Saudi Arabia for the fourth time. A total of 365 vehicles race through 8,500 km of rough roads. The race will start on the shores of the Red Sea in western Saudi Arabia and finish in Damman, a city on the other side of the peninsula. Especially this season, the difficulty has increased even more. A special section of about 5,000 km was set as the prologue section of the Dakar Rally. Along with this, the Marathon stage, which runs over huge sand dunes in the Empty Quarter desert for four days and continues the race without any help, was included in the 14 sections that make up the Dakar Rally.​
